Name: Faithe.
Title: "The Joyous"
Age: 20
Height: 5'6" or 165.10 cm
Faction: Warriors

History:
Born second-youngest in a family of seven on a rough tract of farmland, Faithe never had it easy. But she learned how to work hard and take pride in it and never backed down from a challenge.

Before her mother and father adopted Lance and Enri (and later Sam), she was used to being the youngest by a lot. Both of her siblings were at least 8 years older than her. They taught her a lot, but she was never really close to them because they were always so busy keeping the farm prosperous.

Because of this, she befriended a wild (somewhat shy) scraggy and spent most of her meager free-time romping through the fields with him.

Then Lance and Enri (the two ruffians, as she refers to them) were found getting into other farmers' fields and taking whatever they needed. And they were quite good. The combined efforts of the locals couldn't catch them in the act, and didn't know where they stayed, but everyone knew it was those two grubby little monsters raiding their hard-earned food stores.

Faithe didn't know this. She only knew that all of a sudden there were two new friends as energetic and adventurous as her! And on top of this, they already had a riolu and the stray lilipup from town following them around. Doubly awesome in her book.

So the duo and their mon horsed around with Faithe and Dae by day, and robbed other farms blind by night.

This went on for almost a year before Faithe found herself with more responsibilities and less free time. When they boys asked her why she couldn't come play anymore, she explained that her brothers were much older than her and one had already left home to find his fortune and the other wanted to leave as well and try his hand at a trade elsewhere. So now she had to do some of the things they used to.

Enri and Lance were sad, but then she came up with an idea that could be awesome and fun! What if they came to live with her and they could all finish the chores quick and then have all kinds of fun all the time! Initially, the boys just laughed. What fun was there in farming?

But eventually, she won them over and they stayed. They grew even closer and got up to all kinds of antics. Occasionally locals referred to them wryly as the "Swords of Justice."

Then little Sammy showed up nearby and there were whispers in town of some fey-child roaming the woods.
After a minor misadventure, the trio found the timid, grubby little thing wandering the outskirts of town, digging through refuse barrels. After switching on the motherly mode, Faithe coaxed the kid into coming with them.

The townsfolk wanted nothing to do with him, but Freedman and his family accepted the child with open arms.

A few short years later, there was an outbreak of plague within the town. Freedman and his wife fell sick and their eldest sons returned to care for them. Then they succumbed to it as well.

For a time, Faithe was terrified of also being afflicted, or one of her other siblings getting it and dying before her (still is, to some extent). But miraculously, they outlived everyone else in town.

They managed to live on their own for a time, even surviving the winter. But supplies were low and it could only get worse from there.

Lucky for them a travelling smith and his two forge-monsters happened through town. The choice to go with him was obvious.

After the stint with Smith (see Sam's app for more info), Faithe, Lance, and Enri made their way to the warrior's guild. They all completed their training, and set off to make names for themselves.

Now she's a knight of some renown doing her best to help people and support her family. Every penny she makes (that doesn’t end up poured into armor/weapon repair) goes into her “property fund.” Her goal: either get enough money or get enough renown to earn a chunk of land where she and the rest of her adopted family can live comfortably and she can go back to farming, like she knows best.

Earned her meager fame through skirmishes and battles with beasts on the western finger of the continent (one of the more notable being against a crazed marowak, whose skull and club she kept as weapons).

Personality:
Boisterous (in almost all senses of the word), amiable, and generally optimistic. Genuinely wants to help people, and somehow the war hasn't tarnished that. Yet.

Faithe would rather make friends than enemies. She's willing to give just about anybody a chance (and a second one, even), believing wholeheartedly in treating others as you'd wish to be treated.

That said, she inherited her parents' stubbornness and will not back down from any challenge. Ever. Unless she's absolutely sure she can't do it, in which case she'll just laugh as you try to goad her into it. Stubborn works both ways.

And woe be unto you should you abuse her kindnesses. When she's mad, she's mad and there's no stopping her until she's spent.

Post-R2: Faithe's a bit shaken by the entire raid business - an institution with which the guild has maintained a friendly rivalry with for years suddenly turning out to be traitors? It just doesn't sit right with her - something's not being told. Add to that the realization of how vulnerable she was when that one group was making its escape; if any one of them had decided to retaliate against her, she would have been dead and Benj wouldn't have been able to do a thing about it. So she's much colder than usual in her dealings with people she doesn't know. She's also been pretty grumpy with people she does know. Maintains a grim practicality.

Spends most of her time training herself, her team, and her fellow warriors.

Pokemon Info
Occasionally referred to as Crags and Craft, these two support both Faith and Lance in their missions but are especially loyal to Faith. Together, they sniff out trouble wherever it may be found.

Dae the Scrafty:
As a scraggy, he was quite timid - even afraid of his own shadow and dragged a ragdoll with him everywhere.

Now he's a bold, badass skirmisher out beating baddies and taking names. His personality is much like a cruder Faithe, though they both share a crass sense of humor.

Dae is the Roguish Bruiser and Scout.

Post-R2: Is annoyed that he couldn't be at Faithe's side to help track those mages; blames Benj a bit, but can't bring himself to admit it. Has taken it upon himself to be Faithe's eyes and ears even more than ever before. Has butt heads with Babe on more than one occasion and neither will back down unless separated. Resents the attention that Faithe is giving Babe; feels like he's being replaced.

Benj the Rhydon:
Benj is the Great Wall of Muscle and also behaves as Faith’s mount when needed.

He's stubborn, and quite fierce in appearance (and in battle). Generally, though, he is very calm and prefers to quietly observe his surroundings from a seated position. Occasionally comes off as lazy, but he's actually an extremely hard worker. He just knows when to fight and when to rest.

Often acts as the voice of reason for the trio, tempering the other two's exuberance and poor planning.

Post-R2: Benj blames himself for the group that got away and Faithe's mounting insecurities that stemmed from it - he's supposed to act as the woman's shield and carry her away from danger. Allowing them to be blind-sided like that did not fulfill that role. That said, he's working double-hard to keep team morale high and appreciate's Babe's assistance. Those two have hit it off pretty well.

Babe the Granbull:
Bold, peppy, playful, spunky, stubborn, loud - all of these would be good words to describe Babe. She's somewhat like a toned down, pokemon version of Faithe! A fighter, but not a killer - she'll try to be team support and morale boost.

Bought from a breeder - one of the last in her litter. If Faithe hadn't picked her up, she'd have become the replacement baby-maker for her mother because her bold temperament and strength would have been desirable in any male offspring she would have. But it seemed most of the breeder's clientele were not interested in a strong, bold female - they wanted meek nanny dogs or gruff, tough guard-dogs, not playful, energetic fighters.

So Babe sees Faithe as a life-saver for that and will do anything she can to help Faithe and her team.

Misc.
- I envision rhydon’s tail segments as being rocky armor over the actual tail itself, which ends just under the third tail spike. Eventually the extra pieces just fall off, a bit like molting. Under extreme circumstances, however those pieces can be torn off, exposing the vulnerable tail beneath.
- Faithe has no qualms about injury or blood or urine or crap, but as soon as the possibility of sickness or disease comes up she gets squeamish. Can't even be in the same room as a sick person unless she's extremely close to them. Then she'll dote on them like some kind of armored grandma.
- Faith's two-hander and armor were gifts of Smith. The shortsword was a budget buy to fill a need. She hates it with a passion, but it's still saved her life more than a few times so she can't really complain.
- Dae's sword is actually a long dagger Faithe got him as a gift. He cherishes the thing, even though it's constantly in need of repair.
- Dae's tattoos fade more each time he sheds his skin. He constantly fixes them himself.
- Benj likes savory foods.
- Dae likes meat.
- Faithe likes everything.
- Faithe and Dae are always up for new sparring partners, but they'll likely beat your butt for a while. They've got lots of battle experience.
- Dae has a nasty habit of spitting. It's not that he thinks it makes him look cool, it's just that he produces a lot of the acid scrafty are known for. Spitting's the only way he can think of to get rid of it.
- All three of them are quite the skilled tacticians, but each specializes in specific areas. Dae is good at noting enemy locations and coming up with hit-and-run tactics. Benj is best with AoE tactics that hit hard and take out entire groups at once. And Faithe is best at melding the two and thinking up distractions that allow Benj and Dae to do what they do best.
- Faithe is capable of reading and writing, but big words throw her for a loop, she can't spell worth anything, and her penmanship is awful. For this reason she dictates letters and the like to Lance. It's a bit of a sore spot for her, though, so don't mention it.

:D Thanks! I needed a tough, heavy-hitting member of the team and I knew he'd be a rhydon, but the more I kept the original design, the more I realized he was too cute! XD

There are no words to accurately describe how amazing that Rhydon is. Pretty sure that is the coolest anything I've ever seen, wow
okay, I'm gonna stop rambling about how in love I am with that design now... but seriously it's just so cool, I can't

 Well, thank you! I'm glad folk are liking it (I was honestly afraid I'd get some flak for deviating from the original design so much ^^;).

Thank you again for your kind words. :D

I don't know why anyone wouldn't like it! you perfectly melded the organic part of a living animal with the rocky texture of its type and it still looks amazingly like the actual pokemon, it's just amazing!!
